Der Text steht im Simple Past. Achten Sie beim Lesen besonders auf zwei Dinge: auf das Futur mit „will“ und mit „going to“, und auf die kurzen Relativsätze mit „who“ und „that“. Diese Formen kommen auf A2 ständig vor. Wenn Sie sie im Fließtext erkennen, verstehen Sie die Hälfte jeder Alltagsgeschichte.

Priya worked in a small flower shop on Saturdays. The shop closed at six, but a customer came at ten to six. He wanted twenty roses for his wife.
"I can't say no to that," Priya said. She tied the flowers with green string. It took eleven minutes. Then she ran to the station. She wrapped them in white paper. The man smiled and said thank you.
It was her sister's birthday. Nadia was going to be twenty-five. The party started at eight in a town forty miles away. Priya had a present in her bag. It was a blue scarf.
Priya reached platform three at 18:24. The train left at 18:23. She saw the last coach, and then she saw nothing. Two people on the platform shook their heads. Nobody said a word to her.
The screen above her showed one more line. The next train was at 21:40. That was much too late for the party. She checked the screen again. The time didn't change.
Priya sat down on a cold bench. She was worried, and her ticket was now useless. She sent one short message to her sister. "I'm going to miss everything," she wrote. Then she put the phone away.
An old guard walked along the platform. He was the man who checked the doors every evening. He stopped in front of her. He wore a dark blue jacket. His shoes were very clean.
"Flowers and a sad face," he said. "That's a bad mix." Priya smiled a little. She told him about the party.
The guard took a small timetable out of his coat. It was old and soft at the corners. "This is the one that nobody reads," he said. He opened it near the middle. His finger stopped on one line.
"There's a coach at seven from the market square. It will get you there by ten past eight. You'll be a bit late, that's all."
Priya thanked him twice and ran again. The market square was only six minutes away. The coach had a delay of four minutes, and she caught it. The driver waited for two more people. Priya sat down at the back.
She arrived at eight fifteen. Nadia opened the door and saw the roses. "You're late," she said. "But you brought half a garden." The roses were still fresh. Nadia put them in a big glass.
Priya laughed. She was lucky, and she knew it. On Monday she will take the guard a small plant from the shop.
